🎯 Key Responsibilities

As the General Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing the daily operations, staff management, production planning, and strategic growth of the farm. Specific responsibilities include:

• Supervising all aspects of farm operations including crop planning, harvesting, irrigation, livestock care, and storage
• Ensuring efficient resource allocation and input management (seeds, fertilizers, machinery, manpower)
• Leading and managing farm staff and assigning responsibilities for productivity and quality control
• Monitoring budget, procurement, and farm-related financials
• Identifying areas for expansion and modernization to improve output
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Liaising with local government authorities, suppliers, buyers, and development partners
• Preparing periodic reports on farm performance and future planning
• Driving innovation and adoption of climate-resilient, organic, or modern farming techniques

🎓 Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this leadership role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a closely related field
• Experience: 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in managing agricultural operations or farm-based enterprises
• Leadership Skills:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven team management and delegation capabilities
• Budgeting and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently in rural settings
• Tech-savviness: Familiarity with farm management software or digital recordkeeping tools is an added advantage
